North Cumbria & the Borders Region Report December 2019
Not a lot to report this month up here in Cumbria; the gritters are out, the days are short and after another MoT (with the usual ‘Noisy Exhaust’ advisory!) I’ve tucked the Griff away for winter.
Our club meetings have now moved to the final Sunday each month – we’re trying out a few different venues to make sure as many members as possible have the chance to meet up without lots of travel to and from each gathering
We returned to the Greenhill Hotel at Red Dial near Wigton this month, we had a great time, good food, great conversation with everyone looking forward to the festive season – full Christmas party report next month.
I also discovered the answer to that perennial question – ‘what sort of car does a Tuscan owner take to the shops when they need a pint of milk?’ The answer came courtesy of Dave and Muriel who joined us for lunch, arriving in style in their beautiful Bentley Continental Flying Spur!
The paintwork matches the Tuscan perfectly but the 6 litre W12 is a little quieter…
Thanks to all at the Club and our amazing members up here in Cumbria and the Scottish Borders for all your support over the last twelve months, merry Christmas and Happy New Year one and all.
